Marketing Lead Position at Oomph

Oomph is an award-winning digital innovation agency, working with clients to solve complex business problems with a balanced blend of strategy, design, and technology.

We are an independent agency that believes in forming lifetime relationships with our clients, our team members, and our partners so that we can be their go-to trusted guide in this rapidly evolving digital landscape.

We are seeking a Marketing Lead to work alongside our Accounts and New Business team to influence and activate Oomph’s marketing and communications strategy, aiming to enhance the agency’s overall image with current and future clients.

Marketing Lead

This is a new position for our company and the finer details will be worked out as we get started together, but here’s how we think about the person we need to fill this role.

  1. You understand strategy but excel at execution. Our company has more ideas than it can execute on, and we will look to you to assess, prioritize, and execute on these ideas. We are looking for you to hit the ground running and push things forward and review progress on a quarterly basis.
  2. You have the confidence to bring us a fresh perspective. We know we’ve been looking at this way too long ourselves. You must be comfortable proposing new ideas and directions to senior leadership and backing those ideas up with experience or research.
  3. You constantly soak up industry knowledge. Essential to this role is knowledge of the digital space. You are at or ahead of the curve on marketing technology trends, analytics, and more. SEO, paid search, email, webinars and marketing automation tools are all in your repertoire.
  4. You thrive when wearing multiple hats. While you will have an outstanding support group of strategists, designers, and developers, you bring at least a little to the table in each area. You’re comfortable throwing together a sketch, you might even write a little code.
  5. You’re a storyteller. Not only will you contribute to telling the story of Oomph, but also the story of our work with clients in the form of case studies, client testimonials, and more. You’re not just comfortable outlining the story, but getting it down on paper so that each word is just right.
  6. Winning matters. Nabbing another industry award, landing a new speaking opportunity for a team member, launching a new campaign and celebrating the first conversion. These things make you tick.
  7. You get what we do. More importantly than anything else, you understand our business and the value we bring to our clients. In this regard, past agency experience is highly desired.

Sound like you? Awesome! We can’t wait to meet you.

This is a work from anywhere position, but our Accounts and New Business team is currently local to our headquarters, so candidates in the Providence, Boston and surrounding areas may be given preference.
