The Providence Animal Rescue League is seeking an innovative and passionate senior-level leader to become our Director of Marketing and Communications. This individual will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission through strategic marketing and communications.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for non-profits and both the technical skills and strategic thinking to develop and lead a successful marketing program. We seek someone who can tell PARL’s story, engage with our community, and facilitate opportunities for our community to support our mission. This is a high visibility role at the organization, and within the community, with great potential for growth.

In this role, the director will develop the marketing and communications strategy and execute it through digital and traditional methods. You will employ paid, owned, earned, and shared tactics: e-mail marketing, social media marketing, event planning, direct mail, public relations and community outreach, website management, paid social and digital advertising, community partnerships, and development-related communications.

At the Providence Animal Rescue League, you will have access to current technology to help you manage data and measure the success of the marketing program. The director should be adept at using digital technology to execute the marketing and communications program.

We are a busy interactive marketing micro-agency with multiple clients, in-person events, and in-house brands.

Our new marketing associate will work closely with our interns to help them finish tasks including reviewing work for accuracy and grammar, aiding them when they hit a roadblock in carrying out tasks, and answering questions regarding carry out tasks. The marketing associate will also take on any high-level, more advanced projects that require more time and background knowledge.

Social media, web knowhow, and writing/editing skills are expected since that’s what we do. Ability and interest in taking on a teaching/mentoring position with interns required — come with a great attitude!
